I have over two decades of experience in
private and corporate law, human resources management,
behavioral healthcare and business process reengineering.
My education includes a degree in English, coursework in
education, technical writing, proofreading, indexing peer
review and indexing training with Kari Kells of Index
West.
Both my career and educational experiences required the
ability to recognize and understand prominent and underlying
issues accurately, communicate effectively, work with
extremely detailed information and do so under the pressure
of precise deadlines, all of which are required in the
production of a well-crafted index.
My work has resulted in comments such as:
- "Excellent work."
- "Another great index."
- "Thank you for your hard work. The index looks
great and your proofing catches are unbelievable."
- "Well organized and easy to navigate."
- "Well done!"
- "Quite possibly the easiest and most beautiful
index I have received."
I am also a member of the American
Society of Indexers and three of its special interest
groups, History/Archaeology Special Interest Group,
Culinary Indexing
Special Interest Group, and the Scholarly
Indexing Special Interest Group, and the South
Central Chapter of the American Society of Indexers.
